Happy Holidays from Marist Italy!

By Alice Adams and the Marist Italy Staff

Happy holidays, Red Foxes! The Marist Italy office sends its absolute best from Florence, wishing you days of toasty fireplaces, fresh meals, religious fulfillment, time with loved ones, and whatever else your holiday season entails.

To all, we hope these holidays are filled with joyful memories shared of the semester abroad and the new lessons learned both in and out of classes. We’re happy to have accompanied you this far and look forward to doing so again during the spring semester for those returning!

The office would also like to acknowledge the difficulty of the season for many people. For some of you, there may be grief for those we cannot celebrate with, or a time of loneliness for those who cannot spend winter break with those they love, doing what they love. Our hearts are with you, wherever you are!

So whether it be the relief of homecoming or the excitement of holidays, Marist in Florence sends its best to all students. As much as we hope you enjoy your winter break, we look forward to seeing you again soon! Seasons greetings and safe travels.

“Happy holidays. It’s been a great semester. I’ve enjoyed meeting you and having you in class. I look forward to seeing those of you who will be back on the Poughkeepsie campus next year, but those of you who are here all four years, please keep in touch!” — Professor Joseph Campisi

“Wishing you a peaceful and joyful holiday season. As you take this well-deserved break, I encourage you to pause and reflect on this semester—consider what you might have done differently and take pride in the things you did right and the big and brave steps that led you to studying abroad here in Florence. Celebrate your growth and accomplishments. Enjoy every precious moment of the holidays! 🎄✨” — Autumn Wood

“The Marist Italy office without students is Bah Humbug!” — Bradford Elliott Miller, Esq.

“Wishing you the happiest of holidays! It’s been a full semester, and you deserve a well-earned break with loved ones. Whether you’re finishing your study abroad experience, halfway through, or somewhere along the 4 year journey, your achievements are incredible—be proud! Before returning, take time to set exciting goals for next semester. I look forward to welcoming many of you back in Spring. Enjoy your holiday adventures!” — Marisa Garreffa

“Happiest of Holidays to students, staff, faculty, alumni, and Marist Italy friends far and wide! Take the time this holiday season to reflect on a fantastic 2024 and make sure you recharge for all the amazing adventures 2025 has to offer!” Vanessa Nichol-Peters

“This long break allows for time to do many things and also do nothing, and I hope that you have an opportunity to fill up this precious space with whatever you need the most.” — Elisa Checcacci

‘Tis the season to be a Red Fox!
