Mark your calendars: This Friday, 1:30 PM at the Marist Office
For the sixth semester running, the Marist Italy Club Fair is making its grand return. Often referred to as “One of the Biggest Student Life Events” that kicks off the semester with buzzing energy. Think social mixer with speed-dating flair to finding your people.
Started by the Marist Italy Student Council (MISC) back in the day, the Club Fair was born from a simple idea: why shouldn’t studying abroad feel like the full college experience? Since Spring 2023, students have launched dozens of wildly creative clubs. Everything from the intellectually curious to the delightfully niche. All built by students, for students.
What’s Happening This Semester?
Fan favorites are making their comeback. Art’s Society will be leading museum and gallery visits across Florence (three trips planned this semester, perfect for anyone who wants to geek out over Renaissance masterpieces with fellow art lovers). Needle Drop returns for the music nerds. Soap! Periodica—the art and literary magazine that’s been printing tangible, gorgeous issues since Spring 2024, is back with even bigger plans this semester, including new opportunities to get student work featured and displayed.
But wait, that’s not all. Keep your eyes peeled for Slavic Club, Sandwich Club (yes, really), Fashion Club, and of course, the OG itself: MISC. Plus a few mystery clubs we’re not spoiling here. You’ll just have to show up to find out.
Wait… Should You Start a Club?
Feeling that spark? That “wait, what if I could actually make this happen” moment?
Here’s your sign: the club leader proposal form closes this THURSDAY at 11:59 PM.
Whether you’ve got a fully-formed vision or just a half-baked idea that won’t leave you alone, this is how communities get built. This is how you find your niche. Or create it.
See you Friday at 1:30 PM. Come curious and leave connected.
