Autumn Wood, Residence Life Coordinator

My name is Autumn Wood and I am thrilled to be Marist Italy’s Residence Life Coordinator. I moved to Florence in 2016 and fell in love with all the beautiful things the city had to offer. While here I discovered a passion for language, travel and made efforts to immerse myself into the Italian culture, where exposure to a way of life completely different than my own challenged me to grow and think about life from an unfamiliar perspective. My wish for all of our students who study abroad is that the opportunities offered by Marist Italy, as well as their exposure to another culture, brings about their own personal renaissance, or rebirth. I hope all of them leave here having learned how to trust themselves enough to think outside the box, and that they discover their own Florence, knowing that even after they leave, it will always be a second home to them.
